Howard L. Wilensky, CPA, CFE

Howard is the lead Partner in our Accounting & Auditing Department and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He helps develop and design efficient audit approaches, computerized auditing strategies, and paperless auditing. He also oversees all of the employee benefit plan audits for the firm. He has experience in complex accounting and reporting matters including: business combinations, audits of public companies, computer audit techniques, employee benefit audits, and other matters. Howard specializes in manufacturing, distribution, retail and service industries. Howard “enjoys working with different business leaders, understanding their business operations and needs, and being an integral part in helping them achieve their goals.”

Prior to joining the firm in 1994, Howard spent eight years with an international certified public accounting (CPA) firm. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Computer Science.

He is a member of the Minnesota Society of CPA’s (MNCPA) and serves on the American Institute of CPA’s Ethics Division Technical Standards Committee. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). As an active community member, Howard serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Sabes Jewish Community Center and volunteers his time to various other organizations. He is a former Treasurer of the Board Directors for the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization.
